2024 Thanksgiving Food Drive – October 1-15
VOCM Cares Foundation and Metrobus in partnership with Sobeys, are once again hosting a Thanksgiving Food Drive in St. John’s metro and surrounding areas from October 1-15. Please join us as we support the Community Food Sharing Association by donating non-perishable food items at participating Sobeys locations.
Donations can also be dropped off on regular Metrobus routes. Monetary donations are accepted and greatly appreciated at cfsa.nf.net
With your help, the Thanksgiving food drive will support individuals and families in need, and aid food banks in their goal that no one goes hungry.
Facts shared by the Community Food Sharing Association:
*30% of food bank users are children under the age of 18
*It costs $333.00 to feed a family of 4 for one week in NL.
*For every $10.00 donated to Community Food Sharing Association, we can acquire and distribute $205.00 worth of food.
